2015 August Women’s National Meeting

We continue to be busy this year. On February 21, twenty-seven women from Chipata, Chadiza, Katete, Lundazi, Petauke, and Mozambique gathered here at Chipata Bible College for another planning session to prepare for the forth coming National Women’s Meeting that will take place here at Chipata Bible College from August 19-23 2015.

I have been informed that the women are expecting close to 1,000 women to attend this meeting from almost all the ten province in Zambia. Please pray for the success of this important meeting.

Also, today the preachers will begin to arrive with their spouses for the Preachers Monthly Meeting for March. This the first time after a long while that preachers are coming for their monthly meeting with their wives. We feel it is important for the preachers wives to have lessons so that they know how to help their husbands in Ministry.

It is an exciting time for me, Ireen, and everyone here.

Updates from East-Reach And Chipata Bible College

A new year often brings many changes.  With our mission effort in Zambia we have new students coming through Chipata Bible College. Sometimes there are changes in the preachers that are sent out to do the work of the Lord maybe because of growth or the need for a preacher to take of something personal.

This year we hope to be adding some new paid preachers in Mozambique as the work there is growing beyond what the two preachers there can currently handle.

Mwanza’s in India 3/16 update

On Saturday we went back to the Hospital for a review on both of Goodwin’s eyes. The Doctors were very happy that the eyes are healing very well. They think that at the rate his eyes are healing, he may not need INTACS. We will meet the doctors again on Wednesday at 08:30 Hours for another review.

Yesterday we went for the Sunday Worship Service here in Central Delhi where there is a Congregation of the Lord’s Church. I think that it may have been started by J.C. Choate. Wesaw a number of books in the fowyer as we walked in the Church building for worship. It was very good to partake of the Lord’s Supper. Tears rolled from my eyes as we sang the song, ” Take the name of Jesus with you… Precious name Oh how sweet.” I said to my self how can this be possible? All I know is that I came here to seek treatment for my son but it was a great joy to meet brothers and sisters in Christ who I never knew I had. The Church received us very well and inquired about the work of the Lord in the eastern part of Zambia.

The Church has requested me to preach this Sunday. An opportunity which I gladly accepted. Truely God is always faithful and Good.

Thank you for your love and care.

291 Baptism – May to October

023

From May to End of October many things have been going on in the Eastern Province of Zambia: The National Men’s Lectureship,  training seminars, and 6 congregations have been planted.

Most importantly:

  • 138 Bibles have been distributed
  • 291 people have been baptized
  • 566 members restored
  • the Church now has 6069 faithful members

Also during this time we purchased a new bus which has aided in transporting members of the Church to locations where seminars are being held.  This improves the opportunity for some to travel to distant meetings that they might otherwise be unable to attend.

Please join us in praying for the workers of God’s harvest in Zambia!
